STMicroelectronics LSM6DSV80X 6-Axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) combines two accelerometer structures for 16g and 80g full-scale sensing, embedded intelligence, and a gyroscope up to 4000dps in a single component. Utilization of the LSM6DSV80X allows devices to provide advanced capabilities, such as training analysis and performance benchmarks, to assist athletes. The low-g accelerometer records and identifies activities like running, walking, and gesture-based interactions. Various applications in sporting equipment are suitable for this IMU.
In addition to the advanced accelerometer architecture, the LSM6DSV80X integrates a MEMS gyroscope and digital processing with sensor fusion low power (SFLP) technology that enables spatial orientation and gesture detection. The machine-learning core (MLC) and finite-state machine (FSM) offer Edge processing in the sensor, boosting performance and saving power. STMicroelectronics LSM6DSV80X IMU processes raw data locally, allowing for a broader analysis of sports training.
